I felt better than I did last year (even though my time was a tad slower). For some yet to be determined reason, I got really fu**ing cold somewhere around the 15 km to go mark. I ended up stopping for a little over ten minutes at the aid station with 10 km to go. I put on the shell I always carry in my hip pack and cinched up the hood. I also downed two large cups of warm water and four lemon cream cookies that I would not normally eat. I still felt like crap when I left, but I warmed up a little by the end and finished pretty strong. In the end, it was a great race for all of us. Kerri and Hugh who were staying with us had a wonderful time, and Sarah was the perfect support crew as always. We topped it all off with dinner for ten at the cabin on Lake Superior with some other folks from home. Homemade cavatelli and an abundance of beer and wine rounded out the day perfectly. Next stop on the race schedule is the Birkie in just about a month.

Nice top ten finish there, dude.
Barely, but thanks all the same. It's a great event in a gray town.
I mean great town!
Hey, do you have a pair of those Ergon grips? If so, what model?
